About Kabul Embassy Employee Association (KEEA):
The Association seeks an innovative, dynamic, self-starting General Manger to oversee all day-to-day operations including retail services, food services & catering, vending, cable television, equipment rental program, and other services the Association provides.
Job Description:
Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Association.
Maintain the standards and quality of Association services, facilities and employee/customer relations.
Report to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, acts as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, prepares for board meetings, and advises Board in areas concerning compliance, protocol, finance, and management.
Develop and implements creative marketing tools and dynamic strategies to increase revenue; seeks expense-saving measures, where possible.
As directed by the Kabul Embassy Employees Association Board, act as a liaison to the Office of Commissary and Recreation Affairs (CR); responsible for reporting requirements to CR; advises the Board on CR policies.
Responsible for safety, integrity and maintenance of all assets, buildings, inventory, cash, and equipment.
Responsible for fiscally-sound purchasing decisions, budgets, inventory control, internal controls, bank accounts, payroll, accounting policies, and implementation of management directives. Works with an outside auditor in the performance and observation of end-of year inventory and preparation of the yearly financial audit.
Responsible for all hiring and dismissal of staff as well as executing personnel policies based the of Board of Directors’ guidance.
Supervise, directly or indirectly, all Association staff. Conduct employee training and counseling, as needed. Ensure all personnel documentation is on-file and up-to-date. Perform personnel evaluations on a regular basis. Oversee employee scheduling and payroll accuracy.
Conduct random checks in all business areas to ensure prescribed procedures are followed; reports any deficiencies for further review and corrective action.

Job Requirements:
Associate degree or higher in business or related field. Familiarity with creating a business plan.
Two to five years of progressively responsible administrative or professional experience, ideally in a business or non-profit organization; 18 months of retail store operations experience highly desirable.
Experience must include supervision of subordinate staff and understanding of human resource policies and procedures.
Minimum professional working level of English and (local language) required.
Clear written and oral communication skills, ability to maintain high level of accuracy in duties, able to work independently, and superb interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Point of Sale software.
