Job Description:
Principal accountabilities are:
Planning
1. Assist CFO / DCFO in formulating the bank's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
2. Monitor the implementation of strategic business plans
3. Develop financial strategies in coordination with CFO / DCFO
4. Develop performance measures that support the bank's strategic direction
Operations
1. Manage the accounting function of the bank
2. Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the finance and operations team
3. Oversee the financial operations
4. Ensure appropriate accounting treatment of all the entries posted by Finance department
5. Ensure that fixed assets of the bank are proper recorded in the system and fixed assets registers are maintained appropriately and depreciation is charged as per bank policy
Financial Information
1. Oversee the issuance of financial information
Risk Management
1. Understand and mitigate key elements of the bank's risk profile
2. Construct and monitor reliable control systems
3. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
4. Report risk issues to the CFO / DCFO to be presented to audit committee of the board of supervisors
5. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Funding
1. Monitor cash balances
Supervises:Deputy General Manager Fixed Assets, Deputy General Manager Intangible, Officers and Representatives of Accounting section
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Foundation Level of ACCA(Must)
- Bachelors In Business Administration (Finance) / Bachelor of Commerce (Must)
- Masters In Business Administration (Finance) / Bachelor of Commerce (Preferred)
- Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Relevant prior experience of minimum three years with financial institutions (Must)
- Bachelors In Business Administration (Finance) / Bachelor of Commerce (Must)
- Masters In Business Administration (Finance) / Bachelor of Commerce (Preferred)
- Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
